TARGET AUDIENCE: Women leaders and managers, others aspiring to lead

DESCRIPTION

Organizational life today is very complex. The complexity will continue to grow because of changing business and political environment. To be effective as managers and leaders, Women have to become adept at handling the roles, rules, and structures of organizational life with finesse. Core to this is our ability to use power and authority appropriately and holding others (and ourselves) accountable for results and responsibilities. But, we must be careful not to take a renegade approach to leading. Becoming an effective leader for a woman is a balance art of head and heart orientation.   Therein lies the problem as women tend to be one-dimensional in their leadership approach.

This program is intended to help participants hone their critical skills as women leaders. Enabling them to achieve balance in their approach, achieve career advancement, and a balanced work-life

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

  • Present  the life balance theory, the foundation of effective leadership for women
  • Present a Leadership Model for Women
  • Address challenges of leading from the heart and head
  • Address challenges of career advancement- dealing with “sticky floor”  and the “glass ceiling” syndrome
  • Learn to exhibit balanced leadership behavior
