DESCRIPTION

Individuals looking to become effective leaders must take a purposeful approach to develop themselves as the leader that they aspire to be.  There are so many angles to approach the subject of leadership because of the complexities and diversity of situations that leadership skills musts be applied.  In all of this, there is a core area that cuts across all leadership spectra- Leadership Behavior.  This relates to the way that the leader must apply or conduct himself in different situations that arise.  The premise here is: leadership is what the leader does and how the leader does it. 

This training provides avenues for exploring what leadership behavior is considered exemplary, where the leader’s competences rank, and how to develop the necessary skills to bridge the gaps identified. bridge the gaps in their leadership behavior

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

  • To present the five practices of exemplary leadership
  • To present the ten commitments of exemplary leaders
  • Conduct leadership assessment using the LPI® of participants
  • Help leaders develop personal plans to bridge the gaps in their leadership behavior

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After attending this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Know the five practices of exemplary leadership and how they affect a leader’s behavior
  • Know the ten commitments of exemplary leaders and how they impact how they lead
  • Understand the reasons behind their own ineffectiveness as leaders and how to address their shortcomings
  • Have a personal leadership development plan  that will improve their leadership  behavior
  • Develop a high- performing team of second level leaders that delivers the support needed for the top leader to succeed.
