ESSENTIALS OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (LEVELS 1 &2)

TARGET AUDIENCE: Human Resource Management Professionals, Administrators and Operations Managers.

DESCRIPTION

The role of Human Resource Management is to ensure that the organization has the people it needs to succeed.  Human Resource Management is a management function that deals with acquisition and management of the organization’s people.  Human Resource Professionals must be trained to be effective.  The following two part training program is a VIPCG signature program that has produced close to 700 HR Professionals.

The two-level training program will take the new entrant from the basics of HRM to the complex Strategic Human Resource Management for the seasoned HR Professional.

Level 1 teaches the basics of Human Resource Management, covering the key sub-functions that the new HR professional needs to succeed.  Participants learn the nuts and bolts of people acquisition and Human Resource Administration, and Automation of HRM.

Level 2 teaches the essentials of Strategic Human Resource Management.  It covers strategic HRM such as Human Resource Planning, Work Planning, Strategic Management Framework, Compensation Planning and Management, etc.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

LEVEL 1: HRM ESSENTIALS, THE BASICS

  • Develop participants’ understanding of key fundamental theories guiding the practice of Human Resource Management
  • Ensures that participant have a good gasp of the processes of key HR sub- functions
  • Ensure the participants understand the Nuts and Bolts of HR Administration
  • Develop Participants’ understanding of Automation of HRM

LEVELS 2 STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  • Build participants’ understanding of how organization are organized and staffed
  • Develop participants’ understanding of Strategic Management Framework
  • Develop participants’ understanding of organizational performance management
  • Provide tools for improved employee relations management

  • Conduct recruitment effectively
  • Manage the processes of Performance Appraisal
  • Manage promotion
  • Carry out essential processes of HR Administration
  • Run an Automation Human Resources Information System(HRIS) effectively
  • Stay up to date on the latest HR laws and regulations

LEVELS 2: STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMNT

  • Be able to work on the organizational structure and design jobs and plan staffing
  • Lead Human Resource schemes that will drive the implementation of the Strategic Management Framework
  • Manage the performance of management system in aid of the organizational performance management
  • Lead initiative that will result in a productive work place   
  • Design and manage employee compensation
