DESCRIPTION

Current approaches to managing development programs are as diverse as there are funders, with varying degrees of success.  The result is that there are no widely defined standards for managing development programs.  This training program takes a professional project management approach, modifies it for the complexities of development programs, and incorporates lessons learned to produce a universally acceptable approach.  

The central philosophy is that successful development projects must imbibe a comprehensive application of management practices, processes, and tools to manage the limited resources, increased challenges, and issues that impact all projects.  To that end, this program provides insights into essential components and practices for effective management of development projects.
